Alone in a Crowded Room
Alone in a crowded room; so loud, yet so quiet.
Noise is all around us. Millions of visualize pass through our brains all day. The attention or lack there of, it’s all but enough. We sometimes seem to wander off to our own island. Loneliness sets in. And yet amid all the phenomena, our world stands still.
The feeling of being alone is all too familiar to some and foreign to others. Rather than prompting ideas to help overcome loneliness, I’d like to embrace it.
Feeling: an emotional state or reaction.
To feel, is to remind us we are human. To live a life without any emotion- is that any better than enduring emotion? Loneliness gives us time to reflect. It’s not always a negative thing. Sometimes we’d like someone to comfort us due to the feeling of being alone followed by some assumption that no one cares- which is an irrational conclusion.
Loneliness gives us time to self-realize. We work on ourselves. Take time to learn who we are and understand the reasons why we feel. Sometimes, though not always our wish, silence is the world’s way of telling us to step back and breathe.
To feel, is to live. So embrace the loneliness, One Day at a Time.
