Our character is an echo.
Noise repeats itself throughout the walls inside the cave to which it entered. It’s as if the cave was disrupted from silence, then embraced the sound while it faintly repeated something that once was.
Our lives are an entrapment of tiny disruptions that we begin to reflect in our makeup. The many interactions we encounter are absorbed in one way or another. Sometimes our interactions create certain behaviors. Other times they create absence or withstanding of certain decisions.
However, if no sound enters the cave, it forever holds its silence. It remains undisturbed, still, and eventually forgotten. Tiny disruptions from a settling life are necessary; they create sound in our lives.
The very person you are today, the character you flourish into, it all began with one sound. Then another. And another. And all of the collective sounds began to echo, bringing forward you.
Let the noise echo, or be silent forever, One Day at a Time.
