it's ok to not be ok
It’s ok to not be ok.
Sometimes life hits hard. The wind is swiftly knocked out of you. Your frame crumbles to the ground gasping for air. Sometimes pain bears too much weight. We, by own our tolerance, must withstand the period of breakdown. Accept the breakdown. Understand the weight cannot possibly be upheld by yourself.
Only after we accept the fact that we’re not ok can we learn to stand back up. Denial does nothing but give the world a reason to drop more weight on your shoulders. The one who speaks up learns humility. The people around you are there for a reason. I’m a firm believer in things happening for a big picture reason. Use those people. Learn to lean on someone.
Humility proves you are genuine. It’s ok to admit when something is wrong. It’s not ok to let no one in. Point being, your world eases up tension when you allow for help. Maintenance is the word.
Allow yourself to perform maintenance on your well-being through the use of humility, your genuine actions allow the world to offer you a crutch to get back up. Let people in One Day at a Time.
