Are You Aware?

Are you aware of your surroundings? Are you aware of your internal being? Are you aware of why you are where you are right now? Are you aware of your awareness?

How much time do you spend time evaluating your current state of YOU? I’ve done a lot of pondering on the subject of self-improvement lately and have come to a couple realizations.

1)    Self-authentication comes from understanding your manners, tendencies, goals, and overall direction you’re headed in.

2)    Self-esteem is built on a circular check and review of yourself based on outside “observation” to moral comparisons (which you hold true).

3)    Motivation is derived from interest as well as fear of the alternative in the case that the task at hand is not achieved.

4)    And last but not least, the will to do better in your own life comes from a constant discovery of new talents as well as the maintenance of old talents.

Self-improvement is key to achieving any type of goal or dream. But before self-improvement, we must be aware that we need improvement and set aside all biases. The only way create something new is to create the opportunity for possibility. And that cannot happen with a closed mind.

But hey, these are just some of the things I think about One Day at a Time
