Save the Excuses.
Save the excuses. Take responsibility. And never push the blame.
Those who are remembered never began their legacy with a pointed finger. The idolized figures that motivate daily are never quoted for blaming another for a fault. And those whose actions push us to deliver our best results, never made excuses as to why they didn’t perform better.
Plain and simple, no one really cares. The moment your excuses begin to pour out is the moment your credibility and name begins to erode. Everything you’ve done to this point seems to be smudged, erased rather because you can’t handle a little pressure.
Do not be a story teller, be a doer. In addition to those who push blame, be aware of those who have to proclaim their success stories at every gathering. Actions speak the loudest.
The point of this week’s blog is another internal, self-realization. Take a step back and evaluate: Do I take responsibility? Do I speak through my hard work? Do I blame others for my faults?
In the end, we only have our work and our word. And for the most part, people don’t hear the words. So that leaves you with one option. Shut up and work One Day at a Time.
