An Inconsistent Consistency.
Vince Lombardi stated “Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all of the time…”
While his words relate to the sports world, we find truth in his reasoning behind consistency.
It is not a “sometimes” behavior.
The decision to be consistent when you’re motivated is anything but consistent.
Consistency is the mindful state of holding steady through turbulence, while facing adversity and capitalizing on opportunities. It is an (overall) upward trend in the bettering of yourself/craft/project. We apply consistency in our lives to achieve a higher state of “blank” overtime.
Consistency is painful. Consistency is boring. But consistency creates a stable foundation. It instills discipline and a cognizant self-check to be productive when all odds are against you.
Check your pride and leave your excuses at the door. Be productive and consistent today, One Day at a Time.
